How they dry out a house

Water Drying

Well here are fans running at my house. Why are fans running at my house you asked? Well it turns out a toilet tank leaked without us knowing while on vacation for almost 2 weeks, and it flooded the house from the upstairs down to thru the kitchen and down to the basement. Walls have had to be removed to the studs and the entire ceiling in the kitchen is gone. B is actually back in CO while R and I are staying in CA with my parents during construction. It did not hit me until I saw all the pics. My house my just remodeled house is ruined. I am so incredibly bummed out right now I cannot even explain.

If you want to see what damage a little leak can do all the pics are on my flickr account here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/adoreone/sets/72157600123008550/

Those are the "best" ones.

Well guess I will not be spinning for a while. Good thing I brought all that yarn too!!!

O no! I'm so sorry! I really enjoyed spending time at your beautiful house. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to come home to that mess. I know that nothing I say here will really seem to fit the situation, so I'm shutting up now.

Oh my gosh, that is so sad. :( It is such a horrible feeling when something like that happens. We had a similar issue in our 4-month old house a couple years ago, and ended up with an inch of water downstairs from the downstairs toilet (no basement). On the bright side of things, I got to get new carpet (I hated the carpet the builder put in). But it was such a hassle - cleanup, insurance (don't get me started on insurance!), etc. Good luck getting your house put back together! Hopefully you'll be able to find a silver lining in all this.

Oh NO!! I am so sorry :'( This happened to my grandparents once when they were on vacation. Their beautiful hard wood floors didn't warp, they TWISTED! I hope you are back in your newly re-remodeled home soon

Stacy, I don't know you but I have heard all about your house tragedy from Nachale. That totally sucks and I want to let you know that I am wishing you the best. When you make it back to Colorado I will take you out for some Yarn Therapy, k?
